today's story is the Elves and the Shoemaker there once was a good Shoemaker who became very four at last you only had one piece of leather to make one pair of shoes well to the Shoemaker to his wife I'll cut the letter tonight and make the shoes in the morning the next morning he couldn't believe the song was done there was a fine pair of shoes not one stitch out of place do you see what I see it's just like magic said his wife at that very moment a man came in for the top hat and cane they fit him perfectly how much do they cost 1 gold coin to the Shoemaker set the man and he went away with a smile on his face and new shoes on his feet well well now I can buy leather pairs of shoes at night so that he can make the shoes in the morning the next Shoemaker woke up and be found two pairs of ladies shoes in the sunlight who is making these shoes so the Shoemaker finest shoes in the world very moment twin ladies came in they looked exactly alike Omar's work pretty shoes and the way they went Clickety clock quack in there pretty new shoes and so would win every night the Shoemaker would cut the leather every morning the shoes were made and every day more and more people came to buy his beautiful shoes just before Christmas the Shoemaker said whoever is making these shoes is making us very happy and rich said his wife let's stay up the Shoemaker said said his wife so they hid behind some coat and they waited and they waited and they waited when the Clock Struck 12 little elves elves try the Shoemaker said his wife at once the elves hopped up under the table and set to work tap tap tap winter hammers SnipSnap winter scissors with their needles there tiny little fingers move so fast the Shoemaker and his wife could hardly believe their eyes and they didn't stop until we're finished jump down from the table they ran across the room and out the door the next morning the wife said very happy I'm happy to stay warm I'll make them pants shirts and coats I'll listen some socks and some hats and you can make the repairs yes yes to the Shoemaker and they went right to work the Shoemaker left no leather on the table he left all the pretty gifts instead then he and his wife hid behind the coat to see what the elves would do when the Clock Struck 12 in came the elves set the table and saw the fine clothes they laugh and clap their hands oh how happy they are so the shoemaker's wife set her husband the Elvis put on the clothes and looked in the mirror I began to sing what fine and handsome elves are we no longer cobblers we will be from now on will dancing play how to do the table jumped over the chairs skip around the room and dance out the door and were never seen again from that night on everything went well for the good Shoemaker and his wife
